The company launched its operations at the beginning of the 1990s when it intended to uphold the tradition of Czech stage equipment producers.

The founders of GRADIOR participated in the most ambitious projects of that era (the Palace of Culture, National Theatre Prague, Stavovské divadlo (Theatre of the Estates) Prague, Jánoš Záborský Theatre in Prešov, Slovakia, and a range of other theatres and TV studios in the entire former Czechoslovakia).

The original small, nearly family firm had gradually expanded into a business which included basic engineering production, necessary equipment and design departments and moreover two engineering companies engaged in energy industry in 2002.

GRADIOR was transformed and it had been a group of five companies since 2006.

Subsequent restructuring in 2011 has concentrated all the subjects into one subject called GRADIOR TECH a.s.

At present time, GRADIOR TECH a.s. is developing a co-operation with renowned partners throughout Europe and in Russia.
